Sports, America’s “togetherness”

One thing that I love about being a Browns fan. Is when we are tailgating, walking to the stadium, bar hopping or watching the game. We stop caring about politics in a sense of where we stand. We don’t look at each other in an evil way. We don’t care about the Democratic party or Republican party. We don’t care about our past crappy presidents or the loud one we have now. We don’t care about the evil woman who almost won. We don’t care about the issues we argue over or debate. We become more American and I love it. We look to our left and right and see Orange and Brown. We smile when we see Cleveland on game day. We hug random strangers when OUR team scores or makes a huge play. When Myles Garrett sacks big Ben Rothlisburger, we celebrate. We high five people who might hate our politics. We hug people of any color, as long as it’s Brown and Orange. We give up that normal daily grind of trying to make sense of the law and the justice system. Lord knows we see it confusing us every day. We don’t have any prejudice or hate when a fellow fan starts the “here we go Brownies” chant. As one who trys to get along with everyone the best I can. It is a feeling of true bliss. It is heartwarming and prideful to see all of us working together at something. Why are we so damn divisive in 2019? Alt-left or right bullshit is spewed every day from mouths of stupid people (in my opinion). We need more togetherness, sports are just a start. Trying to reach out to folks to do podcasts and to sit and talk to each other. We need more things to bring us together as Americans. Will you help me, us to do this? As one who loves to talk. I just want to chat with as many people as possible. To hear their view on things. Teaching me stuff. Show me how to learn from their mistakes. Bring each other together more and more one person at a time. Let’s “be on the same team”. At least long enough to have a civil conversation about life. Go Browns, I love you all. Be a little bit nicer every day. You never know, how a morning greeting or holding a door can fix someone’s day or life.

Kareem Hunt and Cleveland Browns

Today we found out the Kareem Hunt is suspended for 8 games which is half the NFL regular season. Some people are torn on this. some people feel that he should be suspended for a year the show you don’t hit a woman. Also two shows punishment to teach people in the future. Some feel he should be fined, penalize and suspended 4 games instead.some of us aren’t sure what to think because the NFL has been so flippy floppy on their punishments. What are we supposed to think when they let people play again. Who have shot and paralyzed, hit someone while drunk, allegedly murdered people. But the bottom line is Kareem hunt was never charged he never went to jail. There’s video evidence of what he did and it is disgusting. One question is when are we going to start following the laws that are here in this country? What happened to innocent until proven guilty? We seem to not follow this in today’s world as much as we used to. Was some things to go to litigation and our lawsuits filed that you see. It’s so confusing nowadays to know what the laws actually are, who the laws actually apply to, how much money does it take to make yourself “above the law”? With all that being said, this is one more player that the Cleveland Browns added to their roster who is a big name, an excellent football player. Hopefully a man who has learned from his mistake, paid his dues, maybe stop drinking, taking his anger management classes. Hopefully as someone in their twenties. He has made another mistake and learn from it. If he continues these mistakes, I will lock arms with you or anyone else to protest this man off the team. Sometimes we have to learn the hard way, I really wish everybody would judge someone on that as opposed to one action. When we all stop acting like we’re perfect little saints maybe this world will look better to all of us.

What to think?

We live in a world now, where some people don’t trust the news. I feel it’s completely justified. After turning on my TV before work day in and day out. When seeing stories about transgender 6 year old, and their parents suing the school until they put in a transgender bathroom or parents of a robber suing the homeowner for shooting their son who broke into their home. These stories make my head hurt, they make me wonder where we are as a society. Things like this make me wonder where we are going, how we will end up, how far it’s going to go. So I try to have discussions with people to understand these better. I’m tired of people saying because you disagree with someone you must believe everything opposite of them. Used to be that we would sit and discuss this so we knew where we stood.there have been three or four major cases over the last year or so. We’re one thing was reported in the news. Within two weeks to one month later the story changed, the facts came out. Some people don’t want to have a discussion. Some people disagree with you until they’re blue in the face, wow saying; “I don’t know enough about this to have this discussion”. Some people only post things on social media. They’ll never have a sit-down discussion or face to face. What do you think?

Simple things

So today we worked a marketing gig in a Walmart. We had 3 costumes. The joy it brought to so many people’s faces young and old. Reminds me again that the simple things in life, are all that matter. Older folks who remember this in their childhood. As well as younger ones who just love the characters. Simplify your lives people. It helps.

CLEVELAND BROWNS

I am an avid Browns fan. Some people would say I’m a rabbit Browns fan. some people think that I know the size of the underwear for everyone in their locker ro imor the names that are on the back of everyone’s jersey. Try to go to the home opener every year, if not more games than that. I listen to talk radio, sports talk radio every day all day. I for one like some of the rumors some people don’t. My thoughts and my questions sometimes they’re a little different than everyone else. I love what’s going on right now, with this team. everything John Dorsey has done since he has gotten here is like the Midas touch. He’s drafted guys we’ve needed. There’s a certain credibility about this team. People love what’s going on. He’s taking risky players with Antonio Callaway, Kareem Hunt. He’s brought in guys from free agency that have actually helped the team. He’s made the national football league talk about the Cleveland Browns again in a positive light. I want to see what he does with three drafts total. I’ve liked so much what he’s done with one so far. Number 6, Baker Mayfield is one of the greatest players that I’ve seen in my lifetime. Only after his first year not only did he break the rookie touchdown record. he also has the swagger in the cockiness you need to play in the NFL. As a quarterback people were trying to take him out every play when he gets the snap. The fact that he got hit, questionable if it was legal or not. jumped up and said “you’re going to have to hit me harder than that”. That’s why I’m proud to call him our quarterback. If people produce and they back it up with their talk perfectly fine in my mind. Everyone likes to talk, around the water cooler, at the bars, on the radio at work, whatever. I feel the Browns need to bolster their defense, defensive line to be exact. Add some more depth at cornerback and linebacker. Grab one or two more offensive weapons. We will see the team that was once 0 – 16. Climb to greatness in less than 5 years. When the Indians were in the world series, the Cavs won the championship. The state,Cuyahoga county, Cleveland in general went nuts. I have informed bosses at my job. That when the Browns get into the playoffs or the super bowl. I will most likely be calling off. Some have even speculated I might take the week off. I feel two to three days is just fine. Thousands of people showed up in Cleveland for the Cavs championship parade. If the Browns win big playoff games or even the possibility of the super bowl, state of Ohio just might shut down. I want to know everyone’s feelings and thoughts towards this. Leave me comments. Getting along?

What has to be done for us to “get along” more? By this I mean. Stop our fighting over an opinion. Stop our hate over which representatives you vote for. Stop belittling other Americans over our beliefs and views. What, why, when did this all start? Waiting for answers….

We have it good here.

American Life is not as bad as some think it is. What “terrors” do we really face on a daily basis? Our life sucks sometimes. Life kicks your ass sometimes. Life isn’t fair, 90% of the time. Yet that 10% of life that’s smooth sailing. YOU can control, you can change, you can tweak and adjust. We’re you born into the fire? GET OUT OF IT! America and it’s people are willing to help you. IF you want the help. We are a generous country. Their are many many ways to get ahead here. You just have to try.

Sometimes we have to work many hours to get by? Is this such a bad thing? I say go learn a skill. That majorly affects your work schedule. Learn a trade, don’t be lazy, work hard. Go to college and expand your knowledge. Then my friend you’re already ahead of millions of people. Some of us work harder and longer hours by choice. Sometimes that shows your path in life. Sometimes shown is ones character as well.

We might be a little hungry? In this country, the amount we waste, NOBODY should be hungry. Yet it happens, a lot. Yet once again people here are generous. Someone out there is looking to help you. Maybe even many someones. TRY to find them and you’ll be alright.

We might have a rough life due to where our parents have left us? By that I mean, the people whom are predisposed to poverty due to their parents being less than functional society. You cannot pick n choose your parents. What you can do is learn from their mistakes and don’t recreate them. Some of us learned from our parents. Most of all, don’t fault one for having better parents and upbringing than you. Most of all don’t call someone racists, bigots or evil for having foundation in their life. One last thing on this topic. Understand that burning bridges is one of the worst traits a person can have. When you push your friends and family away from you, through your actions…..you will not easily mend said bridge(s).

Closing this out. American life as well as life on Earth in 2019 is not as bad as some make it out to be. Stop watching the idiot box (TV). Stop living in only your proverbial box. Go enjoy life. Step out into the big, bad, scary world. Stop letting who is elected as a representative of our country, states, counties ruin your life. Remember, people suck. Make your life what you want it to be. Last but not least, I say this to all people on Earth. DO NOT LIVE A VICTIMS MENTALITY life! Refuse to be a loser. Unless you are physically being held against your will, DO something about it. Change what needs to be, to make your life happy. Never take your life for granted. You can have it taken away in a moment, changed forever. Rise above it and conquer your world. If you ever need help, a word, someone to vent to. Maybe that’s all it takes. I’m here, always to help you my friends. Podcasts and “News”

Podcasts and the media.  Real news and where to find it.  Do we know what real news is anymore?  Where do you feel the “news” is best found now?  Where can we get an un-bias, unfiltered, unedited version of news or facts?  those of us who “pay attention” to politics, “news”, stories about this world or country.  We are usually called some sort of name.  We are asked many times “why do you care and pay attention to this stuff”?  We pay attention due to the fact that we like to be open-minded and adaptable.  We want to help others and help ourselves.  After talking to many people, listening to things online, speaking with friends and family.  It seems we are not sure where to find news anymore.  Some people feel the TV with the local channels are the best for this.  Some people feel that podcasts, YouTube, and the internet are the best.   Some people feel you just have to glance at the politics of this world or our country.  Then go out and LIVE YOUR LIFE.  By that we mean, go look for new things, talk to people, have discussions, ask questions and learn!  A friend of mine started a podcast.  He named it “Uncensored Humanity”.  This is the perfect name for talking to others in this world.  This is what we are looking for as humans.  Just sit and have a discussion.  Talk to your fellow “Earthmates”.   If we are going to live here on this planet, we need to start by talking to each other.  We need to stop trying to limit speech from others due to feelings being hurt or opinions being different.  We are looking for others who want to get involved in this and are willing to accept new ideas.  We are trying to find a great way to talk to others in this world.  Learn new things, learn new cultures and learn new opinions and thoughts of our fellow-man.
